A Typical Night In My Mind.

It's that time at night where you can't help but cry,
You can't even match a smile to your face.
You miss someone so much that your eyes are just cloudy,
You can't see straight..so you really don't know what you're doing anymore.
It's that kind of day where you're wondering what you're doing,
What you're supposed to be saying.
It's that sort of moment where not even your memory is cooperating,
Where you're thinking you did something but can't really tell so you've gotta ask.

It's one of those dreams that no one seems to care anymore,
That we've all given up.
No one can tell the difference between faces,
Everyone seems like they're speaking a foreign language.
Then you feel stupid because you have to keep asking what they said,
But you're trying to look like nothing's wrong even though they can see right through that mask.

You're trying to convince yourself more than them,
Trying to tell them that you're fine and not to worry.
Sometimes talking it out would help,
Well...only if there's someone to talk to and if that someone is willing to listen.
You could act like nothing's the matter,
But some stranger is bound to ask..even though you say it's okay..
They know you're not.

Then you're telling a story,
Careful not to let the evidence rush out.
You're making damn sure that your mask doesn't fade,
But you catch yourself talking too quick.
There's time passing by,
And all the lies you were hiding behind are revealed.
Then you feel like disappearing,
But that someone won't let you.
So you've got to watch what you say from now on,
You don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
