the broken clock is better than the clock
which indicate usually wrong time

Freedom is not free

'Leave my needles free'
The clock at the top in tower
Begged the dove;

'You are symbol of freedom
But you encroched my heart
By constructing your nest
And tied my wheels of gears
My needles are crying with tears'

The dove dashed the clock
"But now you indicate right time
At least twice in a day ",
"Were you atleast once
In these years
In the name of freedom...?"

Interesting end, leaves us with a murmuring hunger for thought, a begging dove, right time, high place and questions of what freedom is.. I got to let my soul sleep on this little song..Thank you.

a thought provoking write on freedom......though freedom is a subject larger than life,it binds our hands too in certain aspects.are we really free we ask ourselves, and find we are bound to social norms and terms and rigid values, which we cannot wave out.i loved this write anush,as it leaves me to ponder over the matter !

When there is peace all around...all time stands still, to be free means not locked in the cycle of night and day but living always in present time.

A beautiful poem that proclaims that Freedom does not mean Passivity, it means Activity & Creativity. I loved the imagery used. Beautiful.

I agree, freedom is not free. You chose an excellent way to express your thoughts. You also provoke our thinking.

fair comment I think new life is more important than measuring time
