“Verses for the Damned”

Infernal or devilish

Diabolic or hellish

Satanic, wicked, evil,

the Demon is the Devil

The Prince of darkness

has all his starkness

Beelzebub or Old Nick

Lucifer’s the villain freak !!

Who is the fiendish beast?

when the damned imp attains the feast!

Mephistopheles! Where are you?

You have to fight for something new

A battle against the heaven

where you have to slay the raven

The Lord knows it all

what’s there to befall

but the darkest call

will be there to crawl

forever and ever more

So, choose the Gate or the Door

from heaven or of the Hell

The Lord has nothing to tell…….

Gosh, this poem is perfect for a cold and dark Halloween night. Quite a fast and punchy read.

Fiendish poem Munia... I like the fact that at the end you have offered the choice... the gate or the door, heaven or hell... what would have made the poem read easier for me is if it were to be in single line format to maintain the pace of the poem... xxx

woww, I guess Bram Stoker himself would have been proud of this poem. i have no idea what it is, there is something about dark writings that always fascinate me lol, this is cool, the first part of the poem reminded me of Damon Salvotore the Vampire in Vampire Diaries, ever tried watching it ? lol.. cool t.v show, but not as awesome as your poem, at the same time the poem carries a good message too, yeah we all should have the moral strength to resist evil and it would be better if we can shut that damned door once and for all,... having said it is easier said than done though sigh, i mean devil's ways are always more tempting than god's ones lol.. nice poem Munia, Two thumbs up!!

Dark attraction, addictively seductive. I guess that is the point, if it wasn't, it would have no relevance in our lives. This is a fine verse, one that gets the reader musing.

An awakening poem that slapped me in the face and said.....where are you heading?

Darkness casts a black shadow over this poem and it is brilliant in its content and really makes one think! Lucifer's the villain freak, and thank goodness not the poet freak. Powerful hellish writing where the choice is ours. The diversification in your writing style is really impressive.

A devilishly potent write, Munia. It stokes up the passions of good versus evil with aplomb, and leaves the reader reeling with the heat. Wonderful! :)

I think perhaps the Lord has already told us how to gain eternal life...some believe...some don't...thus your poem hits right into the heart of it all... Dorothy A Poet Who Loves To Sing

What an interesting piece, from the list of titles to the age old battle between good and evil. It reminds me of the work of William Blake.
