I fell into the moon
Like a rock will fall in water.
Just sank into it's silvery depths,
My weary soul used as fodder.
Caught between the surface
And caught between the sky,
I'm on my back and on my own,
Snug within my coffin made of light.
I shout and no one hears me,
The walls come closing in.
The moon wraps it's arms around me
And I feel the chill set in.
My lungs don't breathe when I tell them to
And my lips are firmly shut,
My heart is weak and I am weaker
With this dread fear within my gut.
I fell into the moon
And I sunk like a weighted stone.
Why fight what I know is coming?
I don't want to be alone.
