Day 68 :: touch by Meredith_Farmer

Not to Forget.

I will remember the things we did.
Where we went, and the fun we had.
The wistful smile which sometimes hid
Your halting way with words unsaid.
Our love will always make me glad.
Try not to forget what times we had.

We rarely said the skies would be
Forever blue just above us two.
It took a while for us both to see
Wisdom's way with you and me.
We parted, but love was never bad
Try not to forget what times we had.

A wistful little poem with a long and painful history, methinks. The rhyming couplets help contain the pace of the poem - which must never be read too quickly. An andante write and one to linger over. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
