listening to bird song

Once in a faraway land that had very few trees
a bird came to sit and sing on my knee,
as I sat in the shade, she sang so sweetly to me,
I was filled with a song beyond all of my dreams.

Then in a place with few birds to be found
I sat under a tree that whispered a secret to me,
of a land where the branches are teeming with birds
that sweetly sing high up in the leaves.

Now here we sit at the start of the dawn
in a land full of birds and with trees it is full,
the sweet song of the birds is filling the air
transporting our souls and dissolving our cares.

Once in a faraway land that had very few birds
a tree came to tell me of what he had heard;
but talking to trees made me feel rather disturbed,
I yearned to just listen to the sweet song of the birds.

Yes, it is sweet to hear birds songs rather than a tree talk!
