Like a lifeboat washed out to sea
the two words I need elude me.
I swim with frenzy to find them
but they slip and sail away, far
far flung from my reason’s grasp.
My head begins to pound thought waves
to spume a whirlpool of seaweed
and strangle a flowing current
as these words spin and spiral, far
far into sea’s eventide.
I float on opalescent sea
beyond horizon's silver cord
as it crochets shimmers of stars
swishing and spilling its train, far
far across water's warm lap.
Moon now moves to tide's rising swell,
her luminous eyes blink deeply,
soft blue to turquoise kingfisher
studded with crystals delving, far
far down into sea's deep bed.
Her serene eyes rise from the depths
as she hooks her golden crescent
on the train of shimmers to slide
and shine on ripple’s crinkle, far
far across the briny sea.
A hooked bottle drops in my arms
blue forget-me-not blooms inside.
Your drowned knight threw this love posy
Lost words, 'eternal love', Moon beams
always dream past cord’s silver, far
far back to your recalling~~

A simply "wonder-full" poem.
