The Tragedy

…is not,
The actions,
of…
Evil.

BUT…
The silence,
of…
Good men.

…is not,
The plight,
of…
The poor.

BUT…
The greed,
of…
The rich.

…is not,
The arrogance,
of…
A child.

BUT…
The ignorance,
of…
An elder.

You have used a very unique style to define the term "tragedy".. Most striking factor about the poem is the way in which you have constructed the poem. Add to that you give a very good message too. Nice to read.

A verse of sagacious and meaningful words Jay - - the first stanzas hit the point home - - not the actions of evil but silence of good men- now that is a tragedy. Well written and with much food for thought.
