snapshorts 4

sky became black
sun turned off light
earth went dull dark

rain came slinging
wind lashed howling
windows kept banging

flattened grass gulped
fattened leaves quivered
fractured branches drooped

one yuppie cursed
one puppy whimpered
one mummy waited...

with an awesome
yellow umbrella.

This is brilliantly evocative of sounds, sights and feelings. Great work Pat.

I love the vivid flashes of imagery in these snapshorts - I especially like; 'flattened grass gulped / fattened leaves quivered' as well as that 'awesome yellow umbrella' - huge fun! :)
