Summer

a drop of
sparkling lemonade
shimmering,
shining
in a
blue-raspberry sky
caressing
cotton candy clouds
as they
carelessly float
above
freshly-mowed
watermelon rinds
at our feet

weaved ropes of
which we
lay under leaves
listening to
thoughts of
less important things
and dreaming
away the day
