In general point of view we see in the eyes of the child full of love, innocence and joy. No worries and fears to think on, no greed or lust. However, in the extreme side of reality, there this child raised and nurtured in darkness.

In The Eyes Of A Child

In the eyes of a child; she sees the world full of beauty, full of love.
……..Her innocence glows like a bud of a diamond rose.
……..Her charm shines like a ray of sun on a dairy farm.
……..Her mind twinkles like a pearl in an oyster shell.
……..Her being is crafted, nurtured on a righteous garden.

In the eyes of a child; he sees the world full of unpleasantness.
……..His face glooms like a dark mist picturing a tempest.
……..His heart tainted – full of anguish, full of despair.
……..His mind corrupted – chained by false beliefs.
……..His entire being sculptured, framed on a vista of war.

They are the brood in poles apart, soon to meet on par ……
Cascading revelations on cross roads; maybe black, maybe white…..
Still they are the pearl in the sea of LIFE.

Wonderful comparisons used Catrina -- and the eyes of a child are so precious to use as a theme - - excellent imagery too.

this piece is super excellent, comparison of a have not and the plenty haves, child or adult you could still see what's in their eyes. You can differentiate by just looking at their eyes, dark and bright sides...cheers

This poem is a vivid study in contrasts between a fortunate child with good parent and an unfortunate child with perhaps no parents, Catrina. It is a very touching write, beautifully expressed. Carl.
