Although purely imagined, could this be a case of a real
winter-and -spring meeting of soul-mates ? - or just infatuation.

Winter into Spring. by jerrykinney

It Happened.

As soon as he lent an ear to her rhyme
It happened, he bent closer, and with time
He imbibed the reflection of heartfelt
Warmth he saw on-line, she scribed and meant
Every verse to expose soul, she portrayed
Intensity, spelt out her heart,, and status
Of self became plain, soul-mates by fate he
Concluded, imaged by her who cared to key
With his own dreams, and he could not forget
They lived oceans apart, but when they met,
Which he, sure they would, might indeed create
A new dimension to love, then he retraced
The fact that he had not requested whether
She felt the same, love needs two, yet never
However her picture had he gazed upon.
The lady was eighty, and he - - - twenty-one.

A relationship of the soul transcends the rigours of time, and your poem says just that beautifully. :)

We fall in 'lust' because of the outer person. We fall in 'love' because of the inner person. A lovely, warm and fuzzy write, Fay!

Cyber space is certainly fascinating as I feel we put our own pictures in our mind's eye of what the person is like, however we don't really know them. Love in cyber space can be as passionate as ever. However, peope can meet and form lasting relationships too! This is a fascinating poem Fay, and as usual beautifully crafted too!
