Broken Love by Gabi+Jeremy Photography

What We Had.

A moment in time.
It is all it takes to create
a closure
to something that lasted
for so very long.
But a moment in time
to abdicate, fold
away with appropriate
phrases, tongue-in-
cheek-style,
thrown down with
careless abrasive
short quick goodbyes,
And why is it not seen
that a rare, treasured affair
can at once change
become cracked, worn-out,
a broken has-been
in which two tired souls
are now ready for war.
In but a moment,
tell me what we had before.

that's life with its enigmatic best ....though they say its about moving on ...I think its about being glued on ....to values , things and people who matter and hearts that know how to beat in each other's echoes ...

the poem is flowing so naturally, words woven into words, a real piece of beauty

the whole poem is so sad...and ends so tragically beautiful with that searing last line....
