Head Over Heels

An outmoded phrase for being smitten
Or catching the bug, or falling big-time
Is to carry a torch for someone, bitten
By love life is full of poetry-rhyme.
When a man strikes the right chord, grabs you
Forcibly, uprights your toppled heart, one
Who ticks all your boxes, brings that old-shoe
Feel into your day, teaches you wonder
Again, will grease you gun, will cook your goose
Andl apple your pie, just throw a cartwheel
And carry a torch for the guy, the footloose
Time is now gone, you are head over heels.

Cliches abound in the world of romance and you have taken a box full of them (from today and yesterday) and strung them very neatly on your necklace of love. The result is rather special. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

This is a very delightful and well expressed poem, Fay, and has me, and probably every other guy wondering, wouldn't it be wonderful to be trapped in an elevator with the poetess who penned this marvelous poem! Carl.
