Day Trip To Heaven

I closed my eyes tightly together,
And watched the clouds part,
It looked to beautiful to be true,
Like something only in great art,

A light shone bright apon me,
The spotlight following my stride,
The air was cool and relaxing,
But from the light i could not hide,

As i moved even closer,
Towards a large gold gate,
My hands grew tight and shaky,
I really could not wait,

I had so many questions,
To ask the great spirit ahead,
About the life we have infront,
And what my ancient relatives did,

When i finally got into the clouds,
I was ready to start my day,
I saw some things - you'll have to wait,
And now i'm back theres not much i can say,

Love life how you make it,
Live it whilst you still can,
And if going out for a day visit did anything,
It showed me who i am

The epiphany of the moment is an endless gift if we can only perceive it with our hearts. Much can be gathered in the rawness of each released breath as we constantly change moment by moment. I love the intent Ms. Greenway. A poet friend// RH Peat

A good motto indeed and a place to start. I enjoyed your exploration of what lies beyond and within. Thanks for the interesting and creative poem.
