The faith of a child

The faith of a child could ring
a church bell on the stillest day
and the sound carry
for thousands of miles

it could lift mountains and move
armies beneath them quickly
to save a day and a continent

but mostly it doesn't need an army-
It looks miraculous to us
because we have forgotten childhood's
faith in the most invisible of things

We can learn so many things for children, indeed..This piece made me think of a quote: 'they dance before they learn there is anything that is not music'..

So true... The capacity of a child to see with uncluttered eyes of faith was highlighted in the verse where a great Teacher said: 'I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have rvealed them to babes." - Matt 11:25. A good lesson to not overthink things and allow some belief - a virtue of childhood.
