for the lady in the yonder cold

if i had a hug that could fly
it would be hovering
over your home just now.

if i had a kiss
powered with rocket engines
it would have pecked you
on your cheek by now.

if i had a thought
that had warmth for fuel
it would have held you,
sat you down,
bought you some flowers,
comforted you,
wished you good night,
and come back into my heart.

i think i had a thought.

And what a truly beautiful poem and thought...'a kiss powered with rocket engines' - now that's some serious kiss. :)
