JUNE....JUNE....JUNE....JUNE....{...An Author's Pick....}

This is for June, and all the summers it brings
Wind chasing bells......of a Church steeple ring
Olde songs of wedlock....over top hat, and lace
'Fore June passes torch....to July's scarlet face

Tree's are full jacket's .........of multi-hue green
The last pink magnolia leaf......still can be seen
There's a breeze in the air, that carries a scent
Of her sweet honeysuckle....fresh efflorescence

Still, nights cast a chill, but June has its motive
An inviting warm flame, bright amorous votive
Moonlite romance...'neath a nautic June breeze
Make love in June sparkle like starshine on sea

and expert con-artist who obviously preys upon
sumo-egocentical braggards.....like me! In other

haps that is because he never did anything with
the piece at all....However, shame on me for not
going thru'all legal avenues before relinguishing
the rights for him to use my words & compose a
song from them....words.... that I personally felt
were not-so lyrical..........................................F j R

Ocean's Moon In June// The full moon poses a unique petition / as the heart's ultimate leap/ retreat / into passion's excelled quantity. / The moon's idea is quite complete / in understanding and quality / to secure its phases in transient position. // Reasons of the heart are flukish; / they seek the small, yet they are very big. / Merciful oceans churn within a great increase / to fall upon the simplest sprig / where doors open out to a decrease / in reality that is quite spookish. // Moonlight offers a plausible bypass / to the clawed shadow of the beast, / a clarity in grace like granting a gift / to a virgin bride at the wedding feast. / The moon sets its lilt impression adrift / and compassion becomes a rolling mass. /// The June moon is the moon for me. Love the poem frank. a tribute to you. //A Poet friend//RH Peat

It is interesting to find a poem that has been won an award five times so decided look into its magic. Impeccable rhyme couplets and trochee meter so the flow is superb. There's alliteration, color, sound, smell and it touches the heart. Seasons, flowers, chill and warmth, romance too. You have two of your abbreviated words in (and I adore your abbreviations) Oooooooo and do you know it is not really lengthy at all yet it brings the page alive with the miracle of June. That's the answer - it's a miracle!!! Now don't you ever leave this site Frank as we need you~~~

Beautiful Frank! I can certainly see why this won four years in a row. I also noticed you didn't take the easy route and rhyme June with anything else. You are to be congratulated my friend. Adam himself fell to a lesser temptation. Cheers, Patrick

When I see a poem that I admire,it makes to me to wistfully wished be swimming eternally in a sea of over drowning-ed,inspire. Nice poem Sir Word A Verse. By shore or by sea...Let it be to freely see. The world and all it's sea breezes freeze...Upon all watery sleeves, that wander in the brain led ski.Look up at the sky of bluest blunder...Beneath Thy Godly, awesomed wonder, under. The sky as it weeps...More tears than all Ye see the upper hands that always sweeps. For how might I seek all hold?...Whatever be the most bold ones sold?

FJR, though the situation here is altogether different at this end in June, the melting flesh flows from the molten bones….but I can understand the euphoria of midsummer romance on your side. As always, you are an award winner here too with perfect command over diction and rhythm, You stand like a stalwart and sing of summer sweet, Each word dipped in honey, love and romance tweets. It was a different taste of summer that I enjoyed it to the hilt. CP
