storm,people,the way it is!

A wild night

The raging storm throughout the night, carried on till dawns first light
Brutal , relentless driven rain, beats upon my window pane
Waves are crashing on the shore, it seems in tune with the oceans roar
Howling winds, swaying trees, buffeted , uprooted by savage seas
Its calm now, in the dim light of day, the thunder gods have gone away
I pity those, who are left to roam, under bridges , they call home
A cardboard box, a plastic sheet, no double glazing in that street!
Its raining again after months of drought, O! how i heard the farmers shout
The ground was scorched, cracked and bare, now there's water everywhere
Just a little observation, from a one, with a little, poetic persuasion.

Bob this is so perceptive and the storm vivid enough to make me feel its force.... great penning. Really enjoyed the scene painted.
