Someday

Someday I will be beautiful,
A menace to none;
Undisturbing the vacuum
Of the body undone.

Not as it was meant to be,
So still in quiet rapture;
Closed lids perceiving things
Open eyes could never capture.

Someday I’ll be more silent,
No more the earth adorn;
Spirit will depart the deep
And leave the flesh forlorn.
