Yellowstone National Park, Earthquake Geology, Yellow Mineral Flows of Biscuit Basin by moonjazz

She Gave Birth.

She felt it again,
her belly convulsed.
Desire and heat combined,
inferno ignited
And passionate yearnings
increased, excited
Discharges wrought fractures,
gasping, she gave birth
After much long confinement,
new essence
Emerged of complexity,
Mother Earth
Had broken her waters
brought forth land.
Uncovered, apportioned, fed
this beautiful
Verdure, exposed a new world,
breaching and
Heaving she blazed
with triumphant achievement.
Can we care more
for the child she conceived ?

Great combination - your poem and the picture. You have certainly expressed all the action brilliantly. This prompted me to publish Moon Child which I just finished.
