- dawn - by idogu

Without Word.

From the fingers of first
misty light,
rays
of morning shatter
dark chains,
and usher
in fresh breaks of day.

Blackbird displays
agenda for
later
sweet song,
brushes up remnants
of night,
shakes then flies away.

Smiles become partner
to light
after first
heard
dawn -bird's trills,
singing in
May-day praise
without word.

Raise then your eyes
with mine,
and see here glory
revealing
to us that only
by such can
Love walk abroad.

This is beautiful; to me it has an almost sermon-like quality and is a reminder what a lovely natural world we live in.

Glorious imagery taking me from the fingers of first misty light through the sheer beauty of nature and love. The picture gives this poem such a beautiful dimension too!
