Three Little Chicks.

Sweet little quail chicks preening, squeaking
New little hatchlings we.
Burst from our egg-shells one fine morning.
First there was one, then three.

Look at our pretty feathered dresses.
Cute little chicks are we.
Plenty romances lie before us.
Great to be out and free.

Hope there's a male bird where we're going.
Three maiden chicks are we.
We've heard the male quails thrive on mating.
Now we cant wait to see.

Glam. little females pecking, dancing.
Three little teasers we.
Like to be chased a while beforehand.
Then we give in , with glee.

Three little quail chicks prancing ,tweeting.
Warm under lamplight be.
Soon we will lay small eggs to make more
Smart little chicks like we.

The three lil quail don't look so lil... the poetry is inventive... im sure in another's hand the quails won't bring such beauty.

I just adore your Mikado quails, and the picture is a real privilege...I too was singing along, and I just love those; 'Glam. little females pecking, dancing' - wonderful! :)
