Predatory Eyes

I met a girl allergic
to those predatory eyes
allergic to preying man lids
insectified by olive skin
the Latins loved her Jewish blood
hated her absent Spanish
unzipping files of fly
She wanted to be ugly
To keep prying eyes away
So she ambled from the lumber register
where installers come and go
went to lawn and garden
where only plants
live to show
where watered beings
thank whoever holds the hose

"where watered beings thank whoever holds the hose" is a great opposition to hiding from preying man lids"- and your plays on words are like nobody elses. I think I would recognize them anywhere.

There is a great story behind it! Well penned! Brilliant! Oh, those glaring eyes, hard to forget! Keep it up! Love and Peace...
