The Moon Whispers

My posture plays with the moon's glow
It traces my every move below
Obscure are my thoughts in this shadow of mine
Illusions in darkness trail behind

The Man in the moon follows my every step
Helping with what I need to accept
He whispers so softly that I almost don't hear
'Tell me your troubles... I will be here for you dear'

That first line is catching and a nice play between the moon's actions and your thoughts.

And there is a man in the moon I can see and admire how he can sooth your subconscious. I love the originality of this poem JoAnn.

Nice poem about the man in the moon JoAnn. The moon sits still high in the sky...Never moving,by the by. Only shifting when it's orbit calls...Only so that,it will not cease floating,to fall.

A nice terse, well-written poem That in some measure reminds me of A poem of mine titled “Star Stuff.” Your moon reveals who you are Which is more important than what You became…a fine poet.

Sun-shadows are only the shape of us, but moon-shadows somehow reveal who we are inside , the shapes and shades of desires, regrets, fears . . . all the things that we keep hidden in the light of day come shimmering forth at night in a soft luminosity that is not just the reflected light of the moon but the illumination of our spirit.
