Nightfall By The Sea

Darkness was approaching.
The only sound to be heard
was the rushing of waves
sounding out a steady beat
as they met the shore.
Streaks of purple, gray and red
hung over the horizon.
A red glow marked the spot
where the sun
had just disappeared.
It grew dimmer and dimmer,
the horizon became vague,
then vanished.
The sky and the sea
became one.

It grew dimmer and dimmer, the horizon became vague, then vanished. The sky and the sea became one. A great poetic touch and the essence of your wisdom in these words. CP
