Despite You Her Words Were Found

When these words you spat
in the water leaking from
my silence
tore down that last reserve
of gentle acceptance
I'd given you in bouquet
to shine on starless skies
her face cried also
tears of loss and tears of blood
raining like midnight anquishes
and pitiful mute voices
to all those without
a voice
When you turned your backs
and created ways to hate
that turned your souls more
like those you say you hate
her defiance rose
like a rejected censored beacon
filling the air with laughter once more
and turning all you made ugly
into silver.

Poisonous vitriol infused with beauty - a wonderful combination for a magnificent poem. Great stuff! :)
