If you haven't already guessed, I love words. They shape, they build, they communicate. Once can do so much with so little... words are wonderful.
Sing, laugh, dance.
You haven't taken these from me.
But
There is one word
I can't seem to shake away
From your grasp;
Play.
I've tried.
I froze.
I was frozen
By haunting memories,
Of times with you.
Of breathing in your scent,
And feeling your voice,
And losing my breath.
It was a high
Unlike any other.
But these memories,
That should be sweet
Fill my mouth with vinegar
And my heart with such anger.
We all know anger leads to hate.
Hate.
It is the only thing in this world
That I hate.
Fight. Survive. Triumph.
You haven't taken these words from me.
And at the end of it all,
I promise
The only thing in this world
That I will hate,
Will still be,
Hate.
Wow. I love how this flows. Its like your speaking to me, in a coffee shop, and the words wrap around me, warm and gentle, and I can be home in them. I loved this work! Best regards, Leona
