I shall find bluebirds adorning my sky
after today,
knowing tomorrow waits,
holding a hand out,
healing the whys
of today with promise of change,
faithful
to my waiting heart which refuses
to negate love.
I resist
relegating us to a yesterday's pyre,
and mean to renew,
after today, positive smiles,
and await
tomorrow, not beaten by unwise
doubt,
then maybe we can reconnect lost
touch,
repair our verve, and dry wet eyes.
After today, yesterday's hurt
might become lost.
You know Fay, even as I read this poem, I felt that life is not quite the fairy tale everyone expect it to be....I mean, can a person look at life with such positivity, when he/she sees all the nasty things that is been happening around. Yet, having said that it is amazing how people like you look at life with such optimism. I guess, you are bit inspired by Bob Blackwell aren't you?.. He writes most inspirational poems too. Anyway it is always nice to read poems, filled positive energy. I must say, philosophy well expressed !!!
