~A Palette Full of Possibilities

.
She is like a watercolor in the rain,
I just love to watch the colors run.
She's so full of life, so full of love,
my little girl is so much fun.

She's a palette full of possibilities,
and Van Gogh would be proud.
She paints like an Italian talks with their hands,
she just loves to paint out loud.

She's like the cream in my coffee,
each puddle owns a piece of her.
Her red rubber boots and green rain coat,
slowly swirls into a blur.

As the silver rain falls
the blues in her eye
reminds me of the love
of a warm summer sky.

She teaches me lessons
while she's having fun.
For now I just watch
her watercolors run.

Well I'm a sucker for daughters since I have 2 of my own and this poem is such a celebration of all that they are. Especially love the line: She paints like an Italian talks with their hands.

Colourful word-splashed canvass, full with a little girl's lovability. Brilliant.
