Spring Fresh Celandines by PhotoToasty

That Celandine Time.

I once lived in a forest of flowers.
Bedded with bluebells as fragrant
as spring.
I nibbled on salads for wildest hours.
Drank dew from lush thickets of cool
green things.

I splashed in the cleanest of
hillside streams
And dressed in my own skinny
birthday suit.
My nights were delightful with
fairy dreams.
Sweet music I played on a
stalk-hollowed flute.

But such pleasures never came
even near
To that celandine time we shared
last year.

Reminds me of a summer love and apple green time. Loved this Faye.

Well, this is a joy to read, and I'll just say that I'm glad you're comfy; undressed in your birthday suit, because mine sure seems to have a lot of wrinkles in it of late. :)

very very nice, my only question is do you need to say "naked birthday suit" given we are naked anyway if in our birthday suit... maybe its me, and the way i am reading it. As for the rest of the poem, as i always say to you Fay, you have a strong, evocative and honest voice that sings out in nearly every poem i have read of yours. best regards v
