Just dreaming.

A Frozen Moment by meg price

His Homecoming.

Their loud barks of Hello would ring long
in the air.
So excited they were to receive him
back home.
In a flash they forgot times he had not
been there
But from now on they could not leave
him alone.

Solo trips they loved making to fetch
socks, like before.
Such abandon in welcome was a wonder
to see.
No two dogs could show better what
devotion is for.
Gave an inkling what his homecoming
meant to me.
