Think For Yourself

.
Do you have to be told what to do?

Can't you make decision on your own for YOU

Do you trust every word that you see?

Hear every word and believe

Pages have been written down in time

True accounts or scandalous chime

Only one side of the story told

Only one opinion that molds

Without taking in all the genuine facts

You can not know what the story lacks

Have you judged to soon a person or friend?

And lost there love to the bitter end

if you need to be told then don't try to be bold you will be like any other person may come in life and go as seasons

Nice and wise - not an easy poem to write but you have done a terrific job here - great poetic wisdom thanks

What you describe is a difficult thing to do . . . usually there are three sides to every story: mine, yours, and the truth. Mine (and yours) are always colored by our experiences, prejudices, preconceptions . . . we tend to pack everything into our own baggage and watch it go round and round the same old carousel

Wise words, JoAnn. One must not jump to conclusions before all the facts have been anlyzed. There's always someone waiting to rain on your parade and ruin things if you let them. Well done!
