Remembering love.

These Aroused Me.

My lover's fine hands,
wide skies red with
sunset.
Birdsong on rising,
first kiss of
morning.
Warm tender midnights,
the day we first
met.
Sudden spring bulb show,
bear-hugs,
without warning.

Icy white windows,
snowball-cold
fingers.
Our footprints in sand,
on well hidden
beach.
Red summer roses,
lunch-hours that
lingered.
Breakfast of strawberries,
picking that peach.

Soft silky bathwater,
his face when
drowsy.
Farmyard sounds, waterwheels,
mountain-clear
streams.
Summertime storms,
blue eyes which
aroused me.
Lying beside him,
remembering dreams.

An evocative list of 'These i have loved...' I like the way you have woven the personal into the aesthetic. A beautiful piece of free verse.

Lovely write Faye, so expressive. I like the way you put it together with short burst of line. Keeps it moving. Good write
