mackworth and a day known as summer

linear
streams of sun
break
across the flowerless
orchid
for the last of
petals have all
but fallen

tiny rocks
stuck to
muddy feet
along with sand
here
and there
oh....and there haha
swirl at the event
horizon of the tub

two eyelashes
for one single
wish

This made me think of being a child again, a feeling I thought was long lost. I thank you for that, Wade Maxwell. And I am glad that you added me. Blessed Be, Em Jay

good poems tell great stories, great poems have good rythm. great poem and if there is a secret story here, it's nice and probably fitting that you kept it secret.

A wonderful poem - I have an orchid on my windowledge in much the same state, and now I'm viewing it through a poet's eyes. Thank you :)
