Second verse in the series of Lady Elizabeth's Fate.

Clandestine Love by Rockoco

Elizabeth's Consent

Time proved its promise,
................................excited maidens
Everywhere longed for
..................bold knights with amour,

But here was a gallant,
............................ armed with latent
Power to bewitch,
........... swooning she knew for sure

Virginity soon she
.............................would lose, prime
Maidenhead forfeit,
............................ her cavalier man
Officer Bate had
........................... a passionate time.

Her consent, foresooth,
.......................gave way to his plan.

Soon clandestine nights
...............were stolen and savoured.

But would he prove worthy,
................... or was he some knave?

The Elizabeth tale gets spicier - I agree with Susan she fell a bit too fast for the bait of Mr. Bate ( thanks Susan- I loved your pun) .....am looking forward to the next part....with equal enthusiasm..

Now, did Elizabeth succumb to the bait of Officer Bate too soon? I await the outcome with bated breath - great stuff!
