The Lady in the Library

The lady in the library,
she's just so sweet,
she knows I like to write,
so she books me an extra seat.

She says because I'm polite,
and to others I am kind,
she makes sure I get an extra turn,
and she says she doesn't mind.

I like the lady at the library,
she shows me what to do,
she taught me how to use the net,
so I can write poetry with you.

So I use this computer
every chance I can,
I even got to google and read,
poems written by Mr. Whitman

PS. Mr. Whitman's got a library named after him, I think that's SO COOL!

The library was one of my favorite places while I attending school. It still is as well as the bookstore.

Young lady, you have got a good rhythm goinG here, as well as very obvious natural talent. Like Carol said...Read, and also practice write as much as time allows without letting any of your other school subjects sliding. Come Summer vacation, join a Creative Writing Workshop, that most public libraries offer. It's musually free . Take advantage of it...and keep that pen moving !Good work on this dedication poem,Pumpkin & A happy Easter to you from New York City/U.S.A.! \\\FjR///
