The Sun

Long after midnight has fallen
a hush falls throughout the land
as dawn slowly approaches
to once more colourize the land.
A magic revitalization
from millions of miles away.
Each petal will unfurl
under this magic eye
that looks down upon us
from beyond the blue sky.
Sleepy heads will yawn
and awaken with its warmth,
as beauty will colour
night’s landscape bleak.
When the sun nudges the moon to sleep.

Beautiful piece David, I see you getting better and better all the time with your writing. Delightful explanation, delightful words woven together.
