I want to share my pleasure in a recent find
of an amazing hand-blown glass paperweight.

Crystaline Charm

Catching
a magic as soon as I viewed its crystaline
charm
I knew that to have it I could not decline.

Inside
the shapely orb-blown ball lies spiraling
vermiform
its curled convolutions upward writhing.

Paperweight
circles flow smoothly to arced black-gold,
as dazzling
crystal gleams thru a whirled opalescence.

Tendrils
entwine icy eels of shiniest glass, transform
seabirds
with crafted talent into serpent contortions.

Meandering
from sinuous curls to silver pearl eyes, part
uncoiled
lie reptilian fangs congealed in glass artistry.

Twisting
my better sense its charm bent on ellipsing
any objection
the weight created desire I could not resist.

Entrapped
in a transparent rapture I confess to mystic
attraction
for this globe of glass paperweight crystal.
