Hi, the term "Stiletto Heals" is quoted from Allison Casidy's poem "Modern Muslims". It is one of those highly enjoyable poems written by Allie. People should read more of her works..

A dinner dance by Iron Fairies

First

A penknife
With dazzling
Breasts and whistling
Thighs, swept
Past, ripping
Soft cores
Shattering
My Fragile
Heart and
Battering it
To bits

Then

A dark dagger
With curly
Hair and hurly-burly
Robe, unrolled…
Wrapped in
A posh, slush
Jeans and a low cut
Blouse. "Stiletto
Heals" and glamorous
Glows… slapped
Me across…
Leaving me
Numb with
Jittering cold

Then the major attack

A Chainsaw
With a flirtatiously
Outrageous Moves
Did a audaciously
Gracious tribal
Dance…
Her sexy breasts
Fluttering to the
Heat of campfire
Glittering to the
Light of moon-fire
Danced and
Made a human
Barbecue
From my
Sickening
Skin

Killed and
Left me numb
With pain, danced
And left me to
Burn and went
To polish
Their nails to
Create a spa
To catch
Yet, another
Prey

What a vivid and violent rollercoaster ride. Each one sharp and deadly and willing to draw first blood. I think I'd have exited Stage Right. Quite a penning. tfs

Lots of action here and vivid images. Your imagination, I hope, is what is working creatively.

This reminded me of 'The Witches of Eastwick'! I love the raw emotion, the biting phrases....'a chainsaw with flirtatiously outrageous moves'.....never quite thought of a woman in such terms before - HA! I can feel the bitterness in your words. This is highly intense and smashing writing, Shan. Well done!

Firstly, thanks for the 'plug' in your introduction. You are very generous. Secondly, where on earth do your ideas come from? This is yet another example of a poem that runs onto the stage in top gear and at full throttle. I see dance and music and lights aplenty. I see limbs lashing, eyes flashing and lycra bursting through a mirror ball of mirage. Surreal, original and filled with contradictions, your iron fairies dance on the eyeballs of the reader and leave this one speechless.! Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Such stark vibrant images and your imagination has run riot with this one. The title is so original, as is the whole poem and can see it important to get it off your breasts, oops I mean chest. Great to see you posting new poems Shash as you always offer something so different.
