Part Of Me.

Thou art in me and I in thee
Nothing appears closer.
We cannot touch, and brevity
Of time affords the most
Meagre access, yet thy spirit
Combines with mine daily.

Thou art part of me and limit
Me to thee, unfailingly.

A beautiful write, and I do feel that spirits stay close after one partner departs this earth and there is always that half guiding us through life. I adore the picture it is excellent painting. Well done you! I can see why you are attracted to it, he has got to be someone who has lived on earth at some time. He is so real.

As always, Fay, your precise and very expressive phrasing excells in this terse but beautiful poem, and your unique ability to swiftly move from casual observations to profound insights of the human soul and heart are always brilliantly done! Carl.

Such a beautiful and captivating write...poetry seems to be the only expression that can do at least fractional justice to the profoundness of the human connection, and you've done an amazing job with this. Love your stuff.
