A Motto for Poet Freak
"Peace and Love"
Should be our motto
I say it often though it's
Nothing new
Sometimes passed on
From me to you
Not my original thought
But so what...for my life
It has brought a special
Kind of serenity...
So let us pass it on
One to another
It will unite us here, like
Sisters and brothers...
No matter our status
Its just a pleasant thought
To lessen the anxiety
Meanness have wrought.
"Peace and Love" my fellow poets
A Motto so free
Lets pass it on...for unity.
Matters not who said it before me
It will simply help to set your heart free
From the bias that separates and give
Back to Poet Freak its dignity.

DOROTHY SUGGESTED A MOTTO FOR PF OF PEACE AND LOVE AND SHE WROTE THE ABOVE POEM REGARDING THIS SUGGESTION. WITH HER PERMISSION I AM POSTING IT TO SO THAT FRIENDS OF BOTH OF US CAN READ AND COMMENT. I so agree that when one rises above the insecurties, suspicions and judgement, whilst doing what it takes to keep safe, let us nevertheless focus and what can bring a peaceful, unified climate for sharing our creative works... Good on you for pointing out the way to move forward

100% in agreement only I would add the word 'Respect'. There seems to be a severe lack of it here these days.

Oh Pat what a friendly action to take and repost the poem I saw earlier Dorothy had written on Peace and Love as motto - - this site would benifit without doubt if we all kept that motto in mind and acted accordingly - May it be taken up soon by one and all.
