.............................................
These are happy tears,
They're not from grieving.
I'm thrilled from head
To toe she's leaving.
There will be no more
Trembling with fear.
I have a grin
From ear to ear.
She left some scars,
But, Oh, they'll heal.
Those prison bars
Of hers were real!
She had me shackled,
She had me bound.
She terrified me
Pound for pound.
And if it were not
By God's Own Grace,
She'd surely have
Destroyed the place.
How she tried to tear
My world apart.
Now this house can rest,
And find its heart.
No, these tears are not
The grieving kind.
These are the thank my stars
She's leaving kind.

**This poem was not inspired by anything personal.
I was drinking some cappuccino at a local shoppe that happens
to rent dvd's, and there was one that caught my eye . It was called
Happy Tears, and though I didn't care to rent it, the title just struck me as funny. And this poem is the result.
Happy tears indeed! The last stanza made me laugh out loud. Good piece.
