The train.

where are you bound this pleasant day?
why board this train that you are taking?
what possessed you to walk this way?
what plans and goals are in the making?

did you check the schedule my dear friend?
did you notice where this machine is going?
or did you follow all the others in the end,
your destination's one, you're not knowing.

reality is seldom pretty, following the blind,
the herd mentality is strong, just ask the mob;
easy to imitate the others of our human kind,
like a mindless, formless, swarming blob.

there are no stops in Mayberry or Disneyland,
there are no stops at all, unless you want to die;
take heed, the platforms on which you stand,
before you board this phantom train, ask why.

you've a brain that only you alone need master,
you're the capatain of the ship, in charge of fate;
if you board this train, you'll only get there faster,
get off, this trip aborted, you do not need to wait.

Hmm. Thought-provoking. Intriguing, A bit ominous and all too interesting. I like it. Excellent with great imagery and wonderful metaphors. Yet are you really the captain in charge? Methinks not.
