White Welcome

What do you know?! Two months old and one month left 'til his dismissal, Winter's again flexing his muscles and blessing with his delicacy.....but Spring's birds are chirping too. It begins to appear the hallmark of this winter will be my perpetual tributes to each fresh snowfall. Interesting. Apparently this pretty dusting began just ere my alarm went off, yet so quickly blanketed the world that I was unable to return to sleep anyway for composition. Enjoy?

(sonnet # DLVIII)

Oh wonderland of pristine white! He's here
As much as e'er before, and decks anew
His world in loveliness, whose sweet debut
In softly falling tiny flakes appears
As precious in its purity, and dear
In brilliance 'gainst departing night's dim hue,
Though Morning's entrance' thus obscured, as to
Endear afresh with what so eas'ly cheers.
Firs' dark green's frosted as the bushes; trees
No longer bare but laced as gently by
Snow's tender touch quite beautified 'non tease
Delight as Winter whispers he's yet nigh.
A dainty dance ensues as Spring now frees
His realm, for 'midst his snow her songs belie.
