Sea Song 1

The rhythm of the ocean rocks invisible,
how precious the deck feels beneath our feet.
In warm lamp light, we bray there and listen,
a rapping of blue whales against the keel.
Chasing spring’s bounty by Mother's
storming sail, bring all hands aboard
so we may eat and eat well.
