Beach with Gulls by Steve Slimm

Silvered Light.

Phosphorescent bands of silver bright
Across romantic
................. night-borne
Still and silent sea,
.......................... informing
Me that beauty such as this lies
Deep in eyes of love,
................ binding
Souls as friends for all of life.

A part of true romance is the right
Of love to take it's course,
................ yet may
We mortals never have a say
In what strange moonlight
...................lays in trust?
Within our minds
................. silver stranded lustre
Shines it's willful way
..................despite our plight.

Stunning silver in painting and in poetry. So many glorious images and the first line sets the poem alight. It has set my mind alight so very beautifully.

This is wonderfully romantic poem, Fay, beautifully illustrated with that exceptionally vivid painting which, as if by magic, reflects your lovely words quite brilliantly! Carl.
