'Tis Love

‘Tis raining…

We grasp hands...
blindly searching for shelter
from a chilly April storm,
wishing for the golden warmth
of an August sun.

Prayers for a clearing
and heavenly azure skies
go unanswered.
Heavy rain continues
but playfully we puddle jump,
splashing through small
pools of wavy water,
laughing and cuddling
all the way home.
~~
‘Tis sunny…

We grasp hands...
thoughtfully searching
for shelter from the
hot August sun,
wishing for the chilly
and rainy afternoons
of the April skies.

Prayers for a cool shower
go unanswered.
The blistering heat from
the August sun continues
but playfully we stroll
the wooded, garden path,
picking blooms of plenty,
laughing and cuddling
all the way home.
~~
Summer, winter, spring or fall
It doesn’t matter much at all.
Love all consuming
has purchased the heart...
Nothing nor anyone can
keep us apart.

'Tis love that binds us all together
Sun, rain… no matter the weather.
‘Tis love that rescues us and never lies
‘Tis love that saves us from goodbyes.

Love can surely put someone in a Tis'y but constant togetherness can be all consuming too....it's own ball and chain.

This lovely verse ends with a couplet of staggering truth Jerry - - a surety is that with love there are no goodbyes. A delightful read.
