Rubberized Handcuffs and the curious freedom in life-prison?

Re-visit with an amendment of the title.

Among the felons a pen-pusher stuck for his bitter literature
And he's punished in a plastic cell?
A kind sentry probably a Homosexual
Purposely kept the bunch of brass keys in door front
And the writer opened the cage door.
He sees the bluish river up after a long time
And he stretches his feeble tattered wings
He wants to fly in the melodramatic sky
It's impossible!
Then only he realized the next door cell mate
Notorious criminal and a Pawn broker
Who's plucked all his golden feathers!

[When you can't change the direction of the wind adjust your sails.]
