Swim Time Aerobics

A friend and I signed up for some water aerobics,
We both had some winter tonnage to remove.
I love how the warm water feels as it washes over my skin,
And hope that its resistance, will make my sore muscles improve.

I don’t mean I've gained a ton or two,
But have been feeling my winter and holiday added pounds.
It may look great on someone tall and younger,
But I rather not keep that fluffy stuff around.

I jog across the pool, one side and then back,
Then lift my legs up as high as they can go.
And oh so every methodically are placed,
My arms, legs, fingers and ballet style pointed toes.

One by one my muscles’ react,
As I am in my third of five times a week.
Losing all of my winters’ baggage,
And loosening up those achy joints that creaked.

I’m no "Easter William’s",
Do you all remember her from way back when?
I just like to think I could be while in the water,
Swimming in synchronized pretend.

winter wraps, and all the flab, one gains, puts one to shame. Good you joined aerobics to get back into shape, but what's more remarkable is you tell it in jest. enjoyed it Linda
